Das Podium.

Satisfied and contented and delighted i was after the German Week, because of Das Podium. When i first created Das Podium, i thought it would be just a simple blog with ALG's newsletter posted weekly. But we, the crew actually expanded the Das Podium by creating the blog and helping in the publicity of the German Week. Because of Das Podium, i have achieved a lot and i gained and learned a lot from it, including the video i made for German Week opening ceremony, the newsletter, the blog and my friends. i have done something that when people think about it, they will somehow think about me, that i can contribute, my strength and my time and my help, to my program, ALG. I want t0 be somebody not nobody.

yeah! page views>>> 436
though relatively less than other famous blogs, nothing but just a tiny germ if compared to Copykate's. haha!

Why. AS English.

Why? I don't understand the reason we take AS English. Why should we take this exam since i learn nothing from it and it has no use for me in my degree course? i hear you! you have no idea about AS English? AS English consists of essay writing (paper 2)and also literature(paper 1).The writing part, i think it is quite reasonable and acceptable because in future we might need to write report in English. So it could sharpen my writing skill. But the literature. For me, a student who have stayed just within Chinese community for 18 years and never read any English novel or newspaper until Form 5, it is my worst nightmare. It is a great challenge for me. For others, it seems like, for them AS English is "sap sap water" meaning not a big problem at all. Leaning German while at the same time English writing and commenting, it tortures me, a lot, especially when time given for writing 2 essays with 600-900 words each in just 2 hours. Simile and Personification and Hyperbole and writer's tone and style and language of the text and Metaphor. Do these do anything good for me in the future? may be but little. Sigh. Though an E is the cut off point from JPA, but getting in good university, need at least a B or C. i have no idea with just 3-month-time left, how much i could do for my AS English! Sigh.

Cambridge AS English- trial

Write a diary entry to describe your feeling 9 hours before Chemistry exam.

29 Feb 2008

The chemistry between Chemistry and i is not chemical at all! I seriously need a catalyst now to increase the rate of reaction! The activation energy is very high. An alternative route with lower activation energy is needed for the reaction to occur. if not i would fail my Chemistry for sure!

The Award goes to...................................

German Film Competition.
it was a great event. This is my very first time to be a prize presenter and also the director of the movie. Liyana and i produced a movie entitled
Die Katze und Die Ratte (The cat and The Rat)

Though the movie did not win any award as i handed the video in very late or perhaps too late, my movie was shown during the award ceremony Sunday night. i was very proud of me and Liyana because both of us have produced a wonderful, funny movie that made everyone in the hall laugh. Making movie is not about winning award. it is about the purpose of the movie made and also the message delivered to the audience. i just want to make people laugh and enjoy the film. though i was a bit sad and disappointed when our movie din win any award. my eyes were watery and i tried to hide it by smiling avoiding eye contact with others. but my objective is achieved.
i laughed throughout the movie even thought i have watched it umpteen times. thank you Izzah for lending us such a cute cat of yours. sorry i dirtied your cat! Hehe!

Thank you so much for spending your time doing this movie together with me. Without you this movie would have not been a great success. it was fun working together with you. Sorry sometime i was too bossy and asked too much from you because you had your own things to be busy with. thank you so so much!

Oh The movie! of course i'm going to upload it to my blog, but wait until i get my broadband after the exam at home! Be patient yaaaa! but it is in German! Oppsss but it is quite easy to understand.

German Week=100(great, memorable, wonderful event)

it has beeeen ages since my last post! been busy with the German Week! i am very happy that German Week has ended! but on the other hand, worry and having headache because of the coming trial exam, which seems impossible for me to finish my revision.

Before and during the German Week, i was very busy and had not enough time to sleep. i broke my record! i din sleep for 48 hours and was like hybrid of zombie and panda, sitting in front of my computer and editing the videos. My room was messy and the piled up clothes all over my room spoiled my reputation as a tidy and organized guy!!

I was a very important person in the German Week committee, i was just responsible for the documentation of the German Week, or so called cameraman. About 3 weeks before the German Week, i started doing my video for the exhibition. Together with Liyana and Grace, we interviewed Prof. Habibah and Pn. Kahartini for the German Week video- introduction of ALG. it took me a lot of time to edit the video and i had to redo 3 to 5 times in order to produce a better video presentation. tell you smth! Video editing is never an easy task because one has to spend a lot of time in front of the computer and do brainstorming. days before the German Week, i had to sacrifice my sleep to get the video ready for the opening ceremony. it was quite abrupt because the sudden change. some changes have to be made to fit into the opening ceremony. you know what! i was surprised that my video got very good response from the audience who were laughing and at the end gave me a big round of applause. I was overwhelmed because that was the loudest applause given to me and of course Grace and Liyana for the great video we had produced. haha i am not showing off, but Prof. Habibah shook hand with me and congratulate me for the video and also asked a copy of the video. i don't know how to express my feeling.but i was really flattered because all the great effort has paid off when i received good comments from Lecturers, Brian, Juniors and my friends. I couldn't have done it without Liyana and Grace. oh and also Amir for lending me his video camera and also teaching me to use Adobe Premier Pro.

For the exhibition, i have to apologize to Saw because i had already promised you to be part of the exhibition decor team but din help much in the preparation. really sorry! i have tried my best.

On the last day of the German Week, that day was the worst day ever in INTEC. i was in bad mood that whole day. i have learnt how centripetal force acting on object moving in circular motion. this morning i experienced it and injured myself. I fell down from the motor because i forgot to unlock the motorcycle. The injuries were not serious, just a couple of wounds on my right hand and bruises on my back. I feel sorry for damaging Hanafi's motorcycle. just wanna share some experience! the first thing i worried about after the accident was not about myself whether i injured myself. the first thing i asked is "oh gosh! how is the bike! i checked the bike without noticing that my hand was bleeding". Ermmmm! Well. that's me! Hanafi i am so so sorry for your bike!

Then at night after the speech contest i realized that Amir's video cable was gone. i searched everywhere i could but still to no avail. luckily just yesterday, Anderson found the cable inside his bag! i was so happy because i felt guilty and sorry for losing Amir's cable. the presentation for the closing ceremony was terribly done because i didn't double checked the video before publishing!

in short! German Week=100(great, memorable, wonderful event)

***What William Means***

You are very charming... dangerously so. You have the potential to break a lot of hearts.
You know how what you want, how to get it, and that you will get it.
You have the power to rule the world. Let's hope you're a benevolent dictator!

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.
You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.
Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated.
You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want.
You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way!
